Newspaper nails are an easy and unexpected way to switch up a regular manicure.  Once you have a dry base coat and color, dip your nail in rubbing alcohol… or vodka.  Quickly apply the newspaper and press down, making sure it stays in place.  Seal with a topcoat to avoid smudging, my favorites are Revlon Colorstay and Seche Vite.

First attempt at galaxy nails, they’re kind of a nail artist prerequisite.  

I found that those small makeup sponges that come in drugstore palettes work well for blending while maintaining precision.

I bet your nails don’t match your tissue box.

While you’re already pretending that your New Year’s resolution is going to happen, pretend that my nails aren’t so short and that this isn’t late.
